"Good Home Cookin’ by Miss Babs & the Kickin’ Boogie Band is a wonderful CD. Babs Winn can be gutsy and driving when she sings an up- tempo number like the title song. On the other hand, her performances of the ballads are extremely heartfelt. I would like to single out the ballad ‘Love, Savannah’, which touched me very much. Babs, also being a fine actress, brings more depth to the picture by assuming the personality of the character she is singing about. The band is tight and the grooves (a la country) very infectious with ample space in between for excellent solos and sensitive accompanying during the soft songs. I recommend this CD."
